Episode #96. Dealing with difficult conversations is the personal understanding topic covered in this episode.

As marketers, communication and collaboration is absolutely fundamental but from time to time we may find ourselves in difficult situations and conversations as we champion the voice of the consumer within the business, deal with cross-functional teams and suppliers, or manage stakeholders internally and externally.

Having these conflicting or uncomfortable conversations (e.g. providing feedback, performance reviews, managing conflict etc) can be stressful, so this episode covers how to approach and feel empowered going into them.

Abby's guest is Ann-Marie Barlow, an Organisational Change coach and consultant, working with leaders, HR and business owners to improve organisational health and effectiveness, often prompted by periods of change or uncertainty.

In this episode Ann-Marie shares her thoughts on where conflict may come from, setting boundaries, being authentic and awareness of your ‘shadow side’.

Plus two-way conversations as a partnership and her advice for marketers.
